Macrihanish Dunes on Kintyre Peninsula – an amazing course, but will be even better in a couple of years. Shiskine, Lamlash and Brodick on Isle of Arran – great character, particularly Shiskine, which would be world famous if more accessible. Wonderful, and great value !

Also, be sure to get to Portpatrick, a lovely fishing village with nice pubs and the fantastic Dunskey Links which you will LOVE and a great tie in with under rated Braid-classic Stranraer Golf Course. Thanks!!! I finally got up the nerve to try golfing in Scotland without using a commercial tour and was I ever surprised. It actually is quite easy to do. Those Scottish links golf courses are all you say they are, and I saved a few thousand dollars from what a commercial tour would have cost. I'm forever grateful.

Once again your website has proven its worth, as if one should ever doubt it!. Two weeks ago I took my daughter up to Edinburgh where she is attending university. After consulting "Golf Nook" my wife and I decided to stay in North Berwick. What a great little town. We ate at the Grange and the Nether Abbey. Outstanding quality and value. On your recommendation I played Gullane #3 -- a wonderful round and views to die for over Aberlady Bay. I am going up again in Oct. Any suggestions? Thanks so much! And keep up the good work.

I've never doubted I was anything but a mediocre golfer and didn't even dare to dream I would ever "play St Andrews." Well, guess what? Your Links Lite page opened up a new world for me. Play St Andrews? Sure, I played St Andrews. I played the Eden Course and the Strathtyrum Course,and had a ball. There I was, pulling my golf clubs along right next to the Old Course and feeling so happy I could barely stand it..
