I'll never again golf in Scotland any other
way than as an independent traveler.

I was very glad to discover your brilliant
website. The experience I had on my
2 trips to Scotland match your descriptions...I
am happy to play Crail, Kingsbarns,
Berwick, Gullane and Craigielaw in
year. Your reviews are very helpful
and planning. Many, many, many thanks

What an awesome golf site you have created
!!! My husband and I are planning a trip
to Scotland and Ireland for the next fall.
I cannot believe all of the wonderful information
you have on your website. I love it !!! Jim
is a golfer and I golf occasionally with
him. We are so looking forward to our vacation
in Scotland and Ireland -- a few days of
golf, relaxing, and exploring. Thank you
for the time you put into this website.

My brother and I followed your information
and had a fantastic golf vacation in
for half...HALF!!!..of what some friends
paid using Perry Golf. And we played
of those hidden gems courses that turned
out to be the best golfing of our lives.

I get to play links quite a lot and love
your site. Absolutely what golf is about
-- play the course as you find it, play the
ball as it lies. I had a fantastic trip in
Scotland at the end of March which is the
shoulder season, worth mentioning even though
some of the weather was atrocious! (But as
you say, all the more fun for it !) Keep
up the good work! Kind regards.

Thanks again for the invaluable service you
provide to groups like ours, who prefer to
plan their own travel...This will be my 4th
trip to Scotland, but not my last.

I had been researching our annual golf tour

Golf Nook Scotland is a website I can rely on for honest information.
You have never steered me wrong and
made three golfing trips to Scotland
last five years. This would never have
without your excellent website. Danke sehr.

I love your description of the 8th hole on
the New Course St Andrews, and can
picture those imposing bunkers ready
up any errant shot...Played golf with

|... the best vacation of my life .. Your website was a wonderful help in planning
my travel vacation in Scotland
many thanks for "putting"
site on the web. I played only
18 holes per
day and used your sightseeing
tips for the
other part of each day. That's
one of the
unique things that makes Golf Nook especially fun and valuable.

Once I convinced my wife that we would have
an enjoyable vacation in Scotland and at
the same time I could be playing some golf,
she was all for it. It worked out well for
both of us and we're planning to do it again,
especially since it was almost as cheap as
staying home. I'm serious.

Just back from another Scottish golf trip,
The Machrie on Islay - I think it's the best
course I have played. www.machie.net
Macrihanish Dunes on Kintyre Peninsula –
an amazing course, but will be even better
in a couple of years. Shiskine, Lamlash and Brodick on Isle of
Arran – great character, particularly
which would be world famous if
Wonderful, and great value !

Our 19 day independent golf trip, (16 rounds
of golf) cost what a 5 days commercial tour
costs. Also, be sure to get to Portpatrick,
a lovely fishing village with nice pubs and
the fantastic Dunskey Links which you will
LOVE and a great tie in with under rated
Braid-classic Stranraer Golf Course.
Your site really made my trip possible. I
took your recommendation and stayed at the
Greenkeeper's cottage in Dornoch, a perfect
place to stay, Thanks again for the terrific information.
Keep up the great work!

Thanks!!! I finally got up the nerve to try
golfing in Scotland without using
tour and was I ever surprised.
is quite easy to do. Those Scottish
golf courses are all you say
they are, and
I saved a few thousand dollars
a commercial tour would have
cost. I'm forever

Once again your website has proven its worth,
as if one should ever doubt it!. Two weeks
ago I took my daughter up to Edinburgh where
she is attending university. After consulting
"Golf Nook" my wife and I decided
to stay in North Berwick. What a great little
town. We ate at the Grange and the Nether
Abbey. Outstanding quality and value. On
your recommendation I played Gullane #3 --
a wonderful round and views to die for over
Aberlady Bay. I am going up again in Oct.
Any suggestions? Thanks so much! And keep
up the good work.

A golf website I trust. No advertising to
bombard me. Just genuine information.

I've never doubted I was anything but a mediocre
golfer and didn't even dare to
dream I would
